Arby’s has officially launched its new fall treat: Apple Pie Shake.
We’ve seen many fast food chains release seasonal shakes, from Dairy Queen’s Peppermint Bark Blizzard to Zaxby’s Cookie Butter Shake, but no chain is as focused on fall flavors as Arby’s. For those of us looking forward to the flavors of Thanksgiving, we’re glad this holiday wasn’t overlooked.
This new shake is part of Arby’s Thanksgiving menu, an annual tradition that first began in 2017 and has returned nearly every year since. While the spotlight has traditionally been on sandwiches, particularly deep-fried turkey gobblers and deep-fried turkey clubs, this year turkey is taking a back seat to the new headliner of the holiday season.
The Apple Pie Shake blends the taste of freshly baked green apples with warming spices and is topped with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar. And apparently, it tastes exactly like apple pie, just as you’d expect.
“This is definitely a hit.” Early reviewer I highly praised it. “You can taste the caramelized apple and a little bit of cinnamon, and you can also taste a little bit of the buttery puff pastry. An easy 10.”
