This is the best Teflon-free nonstick cookware

I started thinking about it when I learned that black plastic and food containers can contain carcinogenic flame retardants. What about Teflon? Now that we know about Teflon flu caused by PTFE in cookware coatings, we reached out again to Science Policy Manager Megan Liu. a non-toxic future co-author with From e-waste to living space.
As for Teflon, “they still use PTFE, which is one of many types of PFAS,” she said. Liu continued, “Ceramic cookware typically does not contain PFAS. Stainless steel, cast iron, and ceramic are considered the safest cookware options to avoid toxic chemicals.”
We’ve already rounded up black plastic-free kitchenware. That’s why we thought we’d put together a list of Teflon-free, non-toxic pots and pans that will work just as effectively, if not more, than the flaky nonstick cookware in your kitchen cabinets.

Glass is just as safe as the ceramic, stainless steel, and nonstick options on this list. When I was younger, I had a small set of vintage glass Pyrex stockpots and saucepans. It was a strange but most satisfying feeling when I cooked with them because they were non-reactive, easy to clean, and I could watch the cooking process. I see clear glass pots all over social media now and I still love them. Although this saucepan is not vintage, it is suitable for many foods and is oven safe up to 400°F. This resembles a small pot. I’m imagining steaming in this transparent cooking container.
